Massive Attack - Live at Megasport Palace, Moscow - 24th September 2010
I'm waiting patiently for Massive Attack to tour again and perform at the Royal Albert Hall or O2. They're one of my favourite groups and have been for some time but it was actually '100th Window' that made me sit up and listen. For some reason, probably the hardcore/jungle/dnb that was immersed in at the time, I didn't listen to 'Blue Lines', 'Protection', 'No Protection' or 'Mezzanine' until well after they were released.
At the end of the day, they are one of Britain's best musical exports and are renowned for their deep brooding melodic tracks like 'Future Proof' as they are for more up-tempo tracks like the huge 'Unfinished Sympathy'. The irony is that I bought '100th Window' while working in Moscow and have listened to it regularly ever since. This set is an excellent example of their work, although the quality isn't brilliant - but still definitely listenable. Thanks to the Panty Inspector for the links. Download and enjoy!
