Helter Skelter's Energy 97 was the last event I attended before going back up north to Sunderland for my second year at Uni. That was where ONIT events in Middlesbrough became the dnb diet - the North-East not famed for its drum n bass at the time...mainly house, house and more house. Energy 97 was a great outdoor event - the drum n bass tent was superb and the Swan-e set with Fatman D on mic duties was a great start to proceedings. Jumping Jack Frost's set was another that stood out - dropping classics like 'Trouble' by Roni Size and Die.
